Lemonpath help raise funds for Anthony Nolan Charity - March 2021

Four members of the Lemonpath team have been valiantly running through March to raise money for the Anthony Nolan Charity. They are aiming to raise over £1000 by the end of the month through sponsorship supporting them to cover 30 miles in 4 weeks.

So far over £700 has been raised and the target of £1000 is within reach. Donations can still made via the justgiving website at

New MD helps Lemonpath mark 15 years in business - February 2021

Leading contract packing and full-service logistics provider, Lemonpath, has appointed Naresh Patel as its new Managing Director. The announcement comes as the company celebrates its 15th anniversary. With Naresh joining the business, current MD Paul Price moves to the role of Vice Chairman, where he will continue to support the sales & marketing team and manage key client and partner relationships.

Supporting the NHS through packing services for Nightingale Hospitals - April 2020

Phil carries vast experience of working within the third-party logistic sector and we see Phil making a significant difference to our existing operations, working with the Senior Management Team to develop our infrastructure and enhancing the way we service our clients.

Phil’s ability to manage and develop teams and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders was identified as a key attribute for this role. His hard-work, commitment, and wealth of experience in the warehousing/logistics sector has all contributed towards him being well-respected within the industry. Phil takes over from Steve Gordon who retired from the company at the end of March.

Another successful show at Packaging Innovations show for Lemonpath – March 2020

The annual exhibition at the NEC was once again a highlight in the year, with many new opportunities presenting themselves over the two days. A strong commercial team made up of Chris, Chairman, Paul, Managing Director, and Ellis, Key Account Manager, held the fort and were certainly kept busy talking to both existing and new clients.

There was plenty to attract the attention of the many visitors, including branded water bottles and pens, and the ever-present Lemon Sherbets. As always, it was a pleasure to see many BCMPA members hosting on the surrounding stands, and the Lemonpath team look forward to doing it all again in 2021.

Lemonpath recruits Ellis Eyley as Key Account Manager - November 2019

With continued growth in the business, Lemonpath decided to expand its commercial team by the recruitment of a Key Account Manager, Ellis Eyley. Ellis joins Lemonpath having worked in the Contract Packing industry and brings with her a vast amount of experience and knowledge of the sector, client management, sales, marketing and above all a clear drive and passion for providing high-quality customer service. Ellis recently completed a two-year career break which she spent travelling and working abroad and is now looking forward to supporting Lemonpath’s growth strategy.

Further MHE investment at Lemonpath - August 2019

Following on from the successful refurbishment and upgrade of Lemonpath’s main Logistics and Fulfilment facility, which included the installation of new narrow aisle racking, Lemonpath have invested in three new aisle master forklift trucks. The extra capacity and new contracts will ensure that the new equipment will be kept busy!

Lemonpath shortlisted at UK Packaging awards 2019 - August 2019

The UK Packaging Awards is the flagship event in the packaging industry, celebrating the very best projects, businesses and individuals. With nearly 300 entries, Lemonpath are delighted to have been short-listed for the coveted Co-Pack and Fulfilment Company of the Year. The awards will be held at the Grosvenor House on London’s Park Lane on 7 November 2019 with over 800 guests expected to attend the ceremony.

Lemonpath Financial Controller receives Group award - July 2019

Kishan Bhogaita, Financial Controller at Lemonpath was presented with DK Group CEO award for his valuable contribution to Group financial and commercial reporting since joining Lemonpath in October 2018. Presented at the DK Group annual shareholders meeting, DK Group CEO Kevin Higginson commented that Kishan contribution in upgrading Lemonpath’s systems and reporting to fall in line with Group requirements in such a short time, had been invaluable.

Further Investment at Lemonpath - June 2019

With the increasing need of clients to have such items as Advent Calendars, food pot trays and wine and chocolate gift sets shrink wrapped, the new semi-automatic machine, supplied by AdPak Machinery Systems Limited has given an invaluable 50% increase in capacity. In addition, and due to the increasing number of pallets of finished products Lemonpath now being generate, two new pallet wrapping machines have been purchased and installed. Further investment is on the horizon as the peak season for Lemonpath’s contract packing division approaches.

Lemonpath attends 2019 Packaging Innovations Show - March 2019

Lemonpath attended the Packaging Innovations show at the NEC at the end of February. With world-renowned speakers, 300 industry-leading suppliers, and a record-breaking 6,922 visitors, Packaging Innovations had a successful return to Birmingham’s NEC following last years extreme weather which caused disruption and a reduction in visitor numbers. The event was very successful with a very high number of visits to the Lemonpath stand resulting in new business wins for both the Contract Packing and Logistics and Fulfilment divisions of the company.

BRC re-accreditation - Feb 2019

Following an announced audit in February 2019, Lemonpath achieved grade AA for their BRC Global Standard for Storage and Distribution (Issue 3). With a 20,000 sq ft dedicated facility, Lemonpath are able to handle and pack secondary packaged food items and gift sets for the retail and grocery sectors. In addition, Lemonpath can undertake relabeling and repacking activities with total traceability and batch control as standard.

Refurbishment of Unit 2 - Feb 2019

Following on from the successful refurbishment of Unit 1 in Spring 2017, Lemonpath has carried out a full upgrade of their main Logistics and fulfilment facility at their head office site in Syston, Leicestershire. At a total cost in excess of £500,000 the renovation work was planned, managed and delivered on time by Steve Gordon, Lemonpath’s Logistics Director. The facility was completely stripped and redecorated, the existing floor was removed and a new surface laid, and new narrow aisle racking installed increasing capacity by around 20% to 8000 pallet spaces.

In addition, a bespoke LED warehouse lighting system has been installed, significantly reducing energy consumption. Two secure security cages for valuable items have been installed, a new dedicated “small pick” have been created, and all canteen and toilet facilities upgraded.

Following the acquisition of Lemonpath in June 2016 by DK Group, the business has continued to deliver excellent financial performance and demonstrate sustainable growth from both existing and new clients. With continued Group investment and development of our management infrastructure I am delighted to announce that from 1 February 2019, Chris Antliff will be taking on a new role as Chairman of Lemonpath and Group Special Projects Executive, with Paul Price being promoted to Managing Director at Lemonpath.

Kishan Bhogaita expands Accounting team - Oct 2018

Lemonpath are pleased to welcome Kishan Bhogaita to the team. Kishan qualified as a chartered accountant at a Big 4 accounting and consultancy firm, before moving into industry. He brings extensive experience to Lemonpath and the DK Group, having worked in Transaction Services specialising in financial due diligence and transaction support and a Financial Controller for a bespoke silicone-rubber manufacturer.

Chloe comes from a sales, marketing and training background, and is excited to join the expanding Lemonpath team. 2017 saw another record year at Lemonpath! In 2017 more than 15 million gifts were handled with 10 million gifts packed just for seasonal sales. Gifts ranges handled were a mix of toiletry, cosmetic, perfumery, food and drink. Supplying to retail, grocery, independent and consumer markets both in the UK and worldwide.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Steve Gordon to the role of Logistics Director of Lemonpath with effect from 02 January 2018. Steve originally joined Lemonpath in the Spring of this year as Strategic Director where he successfully established and operated an enhanced logistics and seasonal co-packing facility at Lawford Heath, Rugby. In addition, Steve brings a wealth of expertise in both tailored logistics solutions and business development with over thirty years’ experience of managing complex transport and warehousing solutions for major B2B and B2C clients.

Twelve months on, Lemonpath receives award at DK Group’s annual event, the founder and former owner of Lemonpath, Chris Antliff, received the DK Group Business Performance of the Year award. During the presentation, specific reference was made to the core strength and philosophy behind the Lemonpath team being the reason behind their success and continued growth.

New fleet of trucks arrive at Lemonpath - June 2017

Lemonpath turned to Impact to supply a mixed fleet of materials-handling equipment for its key operating sites in Leicester. Twenty new trucks were supplied for the key sites in Leicestershire. The delivery includes gas-powered counterbalance forklifts and electric reach trucks supplied under a long-term contract hire agreement that’s inclusive of all service and maintenance provisions. Over the next five years an investment of approximately £600,000 will have been made.

Lemonpath’s Managing Director, Chris Antliff, said: “Impact really took the time to get to know our operations, and helped us specify the right mix and models of materials-handling equipment for the order.”

The trucks are in operation 12 hours a day, five days per week, working across 450,000sq.ft. of warehouse space. The trucks are used to load the logistics specialists’ various cargos – which can include everything from garments to gifts to ‘goody bags’, depending on what Lemonpath’s customers require packing – on pallets, and subsequently into the trailers of Lemonpath’s wide-ranging distribution fleet.

Membership into BAMA for Lemonpath - May 2017

Recently, whilst refurbishing their contract packing facility, Lemonpath took the opportunity to design and install a 20,000sq.ft. secure cage, dedicated to the safe storage of aerosols. To ensure that their high standards in safety, good warehouse practices and environmental responsibility are maintained Lemonpath has become a member of the British Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association (BAMA).

Lemonpath in partnership with Lufapak - April 2017

In March, Chris Antliff and Paul Price visited DK Group company Lufapak located in Neuwied, Germany. The purpose of the visit was to see Lufapak’s extensive warehousing and logistics facility first-hand and also to introduce a potential UK client looking to relocate their existing pan-European distribution business in January 2018 from their long-term operation in Essen. This new business will see receipt, storage and daily parcel distribution throughout Europe which is currently running at around 4,000 plus consignments per month.

The Lufapak facility has 30,000 pallet spaces, 200,000sq.ft. storage area and 25,000sq.ft. of production area for order picking/packing, assembly, packaging and labelling.

Lemonpath attended the Packing Innovations once again in 2017. This event provides the opportunity to present to existing and new customers as well as networking with key suppliers. The Commercial Director, Paul Price, said: “The quantity and quality of visitors we received at our stand was fantastic – in fact, once again, we have already booked for next year".

Refurbishment of Unit 1 - Spring 2017

Lemonpath has carried out a full refurbishment of their main contract packing facility in Syston, Leicestershire. A total cost in excess of £400,000 was invested in the renovation. The facility was completely emptied, the existing floors removed, a new surface laid throughout, the skylights updated, brand new racking installed, and the unit was redecorated throughout.

The addition of a mezzanine floor has increased capacity, allowing for an additional 60 staff. Upon completion, the unit will have a capacity of 2,000 spaces. The refurbishment will increase the overall packing capacity by approximately 70%.

Welcome to Lemonpath - February 2017

Joining the Lemonpath Senior Management Team are Steve Gordon – Project Manager and Amanda Branston – Executive Assistant. Steve brings with him a vast knowledge of the distribution business, interim management, business development and consultancy services. Initially, Steve has been enlisted to project manage the new Rugby site. Amanda brings along a variety of skills to assist the Senior Management Team, in particular a background in compliance, health and safety, employment law, and sales and marketing.

The gifts themselves were a mix of toiletry, cosmetic, perfumery, alcohol and food. Helping achieve such impressive numbers was the secondary packaged food and drink items that passed through Lemonpath’s BRC accredited clean room facility. Gifts were distributed across the retail and grocery sectors within the UK, Europe and America.

Lemonpath takes stand at LBE 2015 - August 2015

Lemonpath are exhbiting at this year’s Leicester Business Event (LBE), held at the Leicester Tigers stadium on 29th October.

LBE, sponsored by the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce, is an annual event attracting well over 1000 visitors looking to source new products, services and solutions, and is open to all local and regional companies, regardless of size or turnover.

Paul Price, Commercial Director for Lemonpath comments “This is an excellent opportunity to truly showcase our services, network with fellow professionals, and meet with a variety of prospects and customers over a short time. Out of 12 applicants for the "Leicestershire Small Business of the Year 2015" award, Lemonpath are delighted to have been chosen as one of the three finalists. Next step is a presentation to the judging panel at Leicester University on 28th July, following which the winner will be annouced at the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce 2015 Leicestershire Business Awards Dinner on September 9th. Still a way to go and a lot of work to do but Lemonpath will do it's best to win this prestigious award on behalf of all its loyal and valued staff.

Record-breaking shipment for Lemonpath - June 2015

The world’s joint-largest cargo ship docked at Felixstowe Port on May 27th after her maiden voyage from Shanghai. Built by China Shipping Container Lines and South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries, she measures around 400m long and 73m tall, and her cargo of containers would stretch 116 km if laid end-to-end!
Lemonpath had two large shipments of Sleeping Bags and Storage Boxes on board this record-breaking arrival for one of their major e-commerce and logistics clients. Both consignments, which arrived safely and on time, were off-loaded, customs cleared and delivered to Lemonpath’s main warehouse five days after arrival. Lemonpath’s Logistics division arranged over 250 import shipments from the Far East alone in 2014 along with numerous worldwide airfreight and seafreight import & export movements, full & part trailer loads to and from Europe, and over 70,000 UK and International courier shipments deliveries.

Lemonpath Receives Prestigious Award - May 2015

Leicester based contract packer and logistics provider Lemonpath Ltd has received a prestigious “Christmas Supplier Award” from Wallgreens Boots Alliance. The award was presented at WBA’s first Global Brands European Supplier Conference held in Nottingham in May in appreciation of the company’s excellent and innovative performance for cosmetic and perfumery gift packing Christmas 2014.
Chris Antliff, Lemonpath MD, was delighted to receive the award, on behalf of all the Lemonpath team, stating that it was in recognition of their hard work and commitment all year round. “We've worked closely with Boots for several years as a proactive partner seeking improvement in all aspects of the gift packing process. We’ve worked to reduce gift specification to ensure optimum space usage for transport, re-usable packaging materials to reduce waste and packaging design to speed up the packing process thus increasing efficiencies and reducing costs”.

Lemonpath, which celebrates 10 years trading in February 2016, has also seen significant growth in other areas of its business, specifically logistics and e-commerce. This has given the company its best ever first quarter in 2015 returning a quarter on quarter growth in sales of over 10%. This looks like being followed by a very good second quarter which, coupled with an already impressive second half year order book, should ensure that 2015 is yet another record year.

Lemonpath Expands Capacity - Apr 2015

Lemonpath has secured a long-term deal to take a further 100,000 sq.ft. site on a 10 year basis to enable the company to continue to expand in line with their current business plans and forecasted growth. The new facility, which will see the overall footprint expand to around 400,000sq.ft., will be available in June just in time for this year’s Christmas gift packing season.

Lemonpath increases staffing - Mar 2015

Lemonpath now employs 40 full-time and at peak around 360 temporary staff. The company has also, in collaboration with a local training supplier, secured Government funding in order to facilitate apprenticeships which will support their general and food gift packing administration teams. Further plans are in place to recruit additional staff from the local community during the summer to enhance and strengthen Lemonpath’s Customer Service facility and Finance department.

Lemonpath secure major Logistics Contract - Apr 2014

Lemonpath have successfully tendered for and secured a three year contract to provide 3PL services to one of the UK's leading High Street retailers. The contract which starts officially in April will mean significant investment in new racking, equipment and an upgrade to the company's LocateIt WMS by Clydebuit solutions. Paul Graham, Logistics Director commented "To win this contract is not only good news for all concerned in the short-term but forms a excellent base for our Logistics division to build upon going forward to 2017 and beyond. There is a lot of work to be done but the investment being made will not only benefit this contract but the company as a whole."

Lemonpath at Contract Pack 2014 - Mar 2014

Lemonpath once again exhibited at the Packaging Innovations show at the NEC 26th & 27th February 2014. Located in prime position next to the BCMPA pavilion at the heart of the dedicated Contract Pack area,the two-day event, which saw a record numbers of visitors, resulted in a significant increase in enquires compared with 2013. Paul Price, Commercial Director for Lemonpath, commented that there had been substantial growth in the number of people visiting the stand and confirmed that Lemonpath had already booked for 2015.

Lemonpath Ltd - 8 years on and going strong! - Feb 2014

Lemonpath Ltd celebrates its 8th anniversary this month. 2013 saw a significant rise in sales during the latter half of the year with the contract packing operation turning in a record breaking performance. Significant new business came in the food and drink gift packing area following successful BRC re-accreditation.
Lemonpath MD, Chris Antliff commented that “This is seen as a key area of growth for 2014 and beyond, resulting in key investment during the first quarter of this year to double the size of our existing facility”.

We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Contract Packer of the Year Award for the second year running. Judging was carried out by over 30 industry experts from well know high street companies such as Alliance-Boots, Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and B&Q.

"This is the first time a company has been shortlisted two years in a row! We were disappointed runners-up in 2012 and are really hoping to lift the title this year," said Paul Price, Business Development Director. The awards ceremony, comprising 25 categories in the annual UK Packaging Awards, will take place at the London Hilton, Park Lane in mid-November and members of the management team from Lemonpath will be in attendance.

In addition to our existing range of contract packing services, we are looking to offer clients, old and new, the production of one off mock-up’s or multiple samples onto most packaging substrates. 2012 - a record year for Lemonpath - Jan 2013

Celebrating its 7th year of operation, Lemonpath Ltd reported another year of record sales and significant growth in 2012.
The major growth came in the contract packing division due to increased volumes and new business across a range of industry sectors. Key areas were in the food and alcohol gift sector following BRC accreditation last year. Logistics, internet fulfilment and e-commerce activities also increased with over 15,000 orders received, picked, packed and despatched direct to consumers in the three weeks running up to Christmas alone!

Lemonpath attend UK Packaging Awards - November 2012

The entire management team attended the UK Packaging Awards at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane on 8th November where we were finalists in the Contract Packer of the Year category. Unfortunately we did not win the award but being shortlisted has already generated new business enquiries for 2013.
There was one Lemonpath winner on the night, however; Richard Watson, Director of Contract Packing, discovered that he had the “Golden ticket” which won him a brand new iPad. Richard was unsurprisingly delighted with his early Christmas present!

Lemonpath Goes Narrow Aisle - April 2012

As part of our continual improvement policy, narrow aisle racking is being rolled out across our head office site in Leicester. In April phase 1 saw 40,000 sq ft transformed, increasing pallet spaces by 50%. This conversion was supported by the introduction of three new Bendi-trucks, with more to follow as the project continues throughout 2012 /13.

Visitor numbers to the stand were up considerably on 2011, and the great deal of interest received in our contract packing division has resulted in significant new business. We also exhibit at the sister show which is held at Islington each October and see participation at these events as an integral part of the company’s continued growth.

2011 brings record sales - December 2011

Lemonpath is restructuring with new personnel, additional space and expanded services. The contract packer employs around 30 permanent staff and, at peak times, up to 350 temporary staff, and now occupies in excess of 300,000 sq ft of warehousing space, offering storage, contract packing, pick/pack and UK/European distribution.

New fleet of forklifts arrive - September 2011

Lemonpath has invested in eight new forklift trucks to cope with extra demand following new business success. The first four were delivered on September 2, with the remainder being delivered later in this month.
